Hidden Camera Leads to Multiple Charges against PA Man

Last month, a young woman in Limerick, PA discovered a digital camera hidden in the bathroom of her home. Suspicion quickly focused on a family acquaintance named Kevin Martin Rebbie, 56. When he was interviewed by investigators, Rebbie allegedly confessed that he had purchased the camera to make video recordings of the girl showering and changing.

Rebbie was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, tampering with physical evidence, possession of an instrument of crime and multiple counts of invasion of privacy.

Subsequent investigation revealed that Rebbie had also physically assaulted the young woman numerous times while she was between the ages of 9 and 13. The local prosecutor has filed a variety of additional charges against Rebbie, including: aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of a minor, and possession of child pornography.

The latter charge stems from a forensic exam of Rebbie’s computer, which police say contained 41 camera videos, including 34 videos of various women (including the minor victim) showering, changing, or using the toilet in the bathroom.

Rebbie is being held in the county jail for lack of $500,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 1, 2015.
