It gives me pleasure to announce that Anonymous Alerts, a leader in the mobile reporting sector for school technology, has asked me to join its advisory board. I look forward to assisting this innovative company with its efforts to improve school and student safety. You can read the company’s press release by clicking here.
The company was launched in February 2013 by Gregory Bender. Over the course of the past three years, Anonymous Alerts has been implemented in 1,500 schools across the United States and is available to over a million students.
I met Greg at the New York State School Boards Association annual conference in October 2015, when he attended the presentation that Joanne Harpel and I gave on “Teens, Technology, and Suicide: Understanding Causes, Effects, and ‘Bullycide.’” Many of the issues that Joanne and I cover in that presentation are ones that Anonymous Alerts deals with on a regular basis, and I think that this will be a useful collaboration.
