On Sunday, the LA Times reported, police in Napa, California arrested Julian Vargas, 29, on charges “of transmitting harmful material with intent to seduce a minor, as well as contacting a minor with intent to send harmful material.”
The charges stemmed from a report by a 16-year-old female junior varsity soccer player, who told police that she had been sexually propositioned by Vargas. She said that Vargas had sent her a photo of his penis and that she was concerned he might have done the same to her teammates.
Police arrested Vargas at his home in St. Helena around midnight and executed a search warrant. He is being held in the Napa County jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
