Hi neighbors — The Burlington School District Annual Report is now available. In an effort to reduce costs (by several thousand dollars), the District is using the Web as its primary means of distribution. A PDF copy of the Annual Report is available on the District’s website, http://www.bsdvt.org. If you would like a hard copy, you can request to have one mailed to you by calling the District office, or you can pick up a copy at your neighborhood school.

The District Website also contains updated information regarding the District’s three ballot items: the proposed budget (Item #1), the school safety and critical needs bond (Item #2), and the increase in the capital improvements bonding authority (Item #5). Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information on any of these items.

Burlington Friends of Education is working to support the District’s initiatives. Please visit the BFOE blog for updated information (http://burlingtonfriendsofeducation.wordpress.com/). If you are willing to have your name added to the BFOE’s list of members, please let me know.

Commissioner Amy Werbel (awerbel@bsdvt.org) will be available once again to answer questions about the budget and other ballot items at Speeder & Earl’s on Saturday, February 14, from 10-12.
